Gift In Kind

Gift in Kind Donation Policy

All Gifts in Kind to Evergreen School are greatly valued and appreciated. In order to help us appropriately thank our donors and track the generous gifts we have received, all donors are asked to complete the donation form, and return it to our Head of Schol.

Separate from For'Ever Fund, a Gift in Kind is defined as a non-cash item, such as equipment or a product, that is voluntarily transferred from the donor to our School without compensation or consideration in return.  Donors also may direct where they wish to have their gift used. For our purposes, snack items that parents may bring in for the class are not considered as Gifts in Kind. If you are unsure if a donation constitutes a Gift in Kind, please contact the Development Director for assistance.

All Evergreen Staff members who receive a donation in the form of a Gift in Kind will give a copy of the Gift in Kind Donation Form to the donor and ask them to complete the form, and return it to school. Copies of these forms are available in the School Office and on our website.

For donations valued over $50, donors will receive a thank-you letter from Evergreen School that they can use for tax purposes. They will be instructed to consult their tax advisor for details regarding their donation. The donor, not Evergreen School, must assign a dollar value to the donation. The thank you letter will be sent to the donor about a week after receipt of the donation form.

All donors of Gifts in Kind who have sent in their donation form, no matter the value, will  be listed in the Annual Report under the Gifts in Kind category.

We thank our donors for thinking of Evergreen!
