Camp Hours

Camp hours for all programs are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., half day options available for children 4 years and under from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Before and after care is available from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Afterschool Programs and Special Activities

Early Bird (7:30 a.m.–8:30 a.m.)
Evergreen responds to the needs of families whose schedules require an early start. Early Bird children engage in activities such as reading, drawing, arts & crafts, puzzles, games, cards, and play. The class size is small and allows for more teacher/counselor-student interaction. The goal of the program is to provide care for the children and to ease their transition into the regular day.

Extended Day (3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.)

The Extended Day program creates a warm and familiar atmosphere, and the schedule is paced to include periods of stimulating activity, as well as opportunities for quiet relaxation. Extended Day activities include: indoor/outdoor play, arts & crafts, story time, cooking projects, and creative games. As the day winds down, we are responsive to the needs of the children with quiet story times, tabletop games, and increased individual
attention.

NOTE: The day ends at 6:00 p.m. There is a late charge of $15.00 for each 15 minutes, or portion thereof, for children remaining after this time.
Special Events

At Evergreen Camp we love to come together and celebrate. Our Yankee Doodle Dandy Parade during the week of July 4th is a favorite of campers and parents alike. Our campers spend all week preparing their costumes and songs for patriotic performances and a parade march around our camp.

Of course, nothing can top our CAMP CARNIVAL, on Friday, August 3rd. With a humongous crawl-through, giant slides, water activities, games, face painting, and prizes, who could ask for more fun!

If you have questions, please call Caroline Maffry, our Camp Director, at 301-942-5979, or email camp@evergreenschool.com.
